Vista Overlook at Steamboat Mountain Wedding | Mikaela & Patrick

Some say that opposites attract. Well in this case, that may be true since Patrick is 6’3” and Mikaela is a powerful 4’11”

But outside of their height difference, I can’t think of two people that are absolutely made for each other. It shows up in the way they speak to each other, the glances they share during an incredibly busy wedding weekend, and to the handwritten cards and gifts that they sent each other the morning of their wedding day. So maybe opposites only get you so far in the pursuit of Love.

Mikaela and Patrick chose not to have a lot of (event) bells and whistles, but rather went with having their close friends help them tie the knot. Bri played the violin during the ceremony, Hannah was the glue and offered a helping hand numerous times throughout the day and Pete officiated the ceremony. If I hadn’t talked with them multiple times during the planning phase, I would have thought that they hired all of these people because of how incredibly talented they were that day. While Pete performed his first ever officiating duties, you would’ve thought he trained his whole life for it and had years of experience.

Good people must attract (And keep) other good people in their orbit.
