Vail Fall Engagement Session | Laura & Ryan

The mountains are a very special place for Laura and Ryan. Both of their families have been coming to the Vail and Beaver Creek areas for their whole lives. To honor that, they booked their wedding in Beaver Creek and wanted their engagement photos in Vail. In true mountain fashion we had a little rain shower dodging to do but no one let that get them down. In fact, the clouds and moodiness of the light just made things that much prettier! We went up the Eagle Bahn gondola for some killer views–even some looking over to Beaver Creek in an ode to their ceremony for next year! After that we headed over to East Vail–a spot near and dear to my heart as well as Ryan’s. His family had a home there for quite a while and we visited family in the memorial park nearby (no photos to respect the peace of the area). It was so beautiful to see how much family means to them and an honor to witness. Laura and Ryan wanted their pups, Bowie (BoBo) and Tucker (Tucky) to be a part of their photos too so Laura’s mom came along to help wrangle them. It wasn’t really needed because they are two of the goodest bois around! I loved working with them (and I think they enjoyed modeling, too)! I absolutely loved how they brought the scarf Bowie wore as part of Ryan’s proposal plan to take a photo with to commemorate that part of their journey, too. So cute!
