Stacie + Jodie | San Antonio Wedding | Montage and Pearl Stable

Sometimes I get lucky and traveling is part of my job, truth be told I would travel anywhere if my clients want me to. I’d never been to San Antonio, it was beautiful, especially in the spring. This particular wedding was a bit of a struggle because I had pretty severely damaged my foot a few days prior and didn’t know if I would be able to make it, but I was determined not to let my couple down who was counting on me to be part of their day. Sometimes people ask “What happens if you are unable to make it” and this was the first time in 8 years of shooting weddings I actually thought I may have to. I hobbled around and hired an extra photographer for their day so they got 1 solid hobbler and 2 other awesome photographers. I am super lucky in all my traveling and networking that I know photographers all over the world and my connections definitely showed here. I was so thankful I could be there for this amazingly sweet couple and share in their day. They started their day at the Hotel Contessa right on the riverwalk so we were able to do a lot of their photos there. We then drove over to Pearl Stable where they had their ceremony under the a giant tree. Pearl Stable was stunning as well, an old stable that they turned into a wedding venue. I see barns and very rustic venues in Colorado all the time and the buildings here and the river walk were so different, a different kind of rustic. It was like a breath of fresh air (even through they air will never be as fresh as Colorado mountain air 😉 ) Thank you Stacie and Jodie for entrusting me with your day. It was great to get to know you two and I appreciate your trust in flying me out there to photograph your day.
