When Sarah told me she was going wear Chacos as her wedding shoes I knew we would be a great match. I practically live in my Chacos in the summer when I am not shooting or just around the house. They are possibly the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. For a mountain bride they are the perfect shoe. I often tell my brides to bring a pair of flip flops or comfy shoes to wear because the best shots are the ones off the path. Where the scenery is organic, lots of my clients wear heels and change them later.
Sarah and Dave are amazing, the light in their eyes when they look at each other, and the knowing that whatever happens they are both in it together. Most people know that I am all about connection. Connection to each other as husband and wife and connection to your family and friends on your wedding day. These two had an amazing connection to everyone around them. Everyone I talked to shared stories of how these two people had touched their lives. The weather didn’t hold out to finish their ceremony at the top of the mountain but they were pretty good about rolling with the punches on their day. All that mattered to them was they would be husband and wife in the end. In an amazing coincidence Dave found out the same day as their wedding that he was accepted into a nursing program at Duke University so just after their 1st look he shared the news with his soon to be bride. They definitely were both crying which made me and Chelsy (my partner photographer) tear up too! Every part of their day was so beautiful, even if we did have to finish their ceremony at the bottom of the hill. Sarah and Dave thank you. Thank you for living and loving passionately and sharing your lives and passions with me. I wish you so much happiness and love on your adventures to come!
I pulled them out right before sunset for some awesome photos in this gorgeous field of wild flowers. I love that instead of cake they broke a cookie! Such an amazing and emotional daddy/daughter dance.
I would love to thank these amazing professionals for helping make Sarah & Dave’s wedding day amazing!
