Paige + Chaz | Country Engagement Session

Country Engagement Session

Chaz is in the Army and on active duty so in between his tours and the wedding they had one weekend to come back to Colorado and sneak in their Engagement session. We met at my studio and got to know each other a little bit. As we started to talk I realized more and more that these were my kind of people. Chaz grew up in Colorado and was a huge Broncos fan. Paige is an absolute carefree spirit and a perfect match for me.

Family was clearly important to both of them. Chaz really wanted to do the session at an old farm kind of like his Grandfather used to have. I thought of a perfect old abandoned farm in Brighton, just minutes from where Chaz grew up. When we got there we were chatting about his Grandfather and we went over to the silo to take a few photos and low and behold the name on the silo was the same as his Grandfather’s – Butler. It was really meant to be. I had never photographed there before. Fate lead us there.

Paige also started to talk about how much she loved Peter Pan. She said that represented the playful side of their relationship. He would hoist her up on his feet and she would fly. We did a few shadow photos. “Funny”, I said “because I had a bride earlier in the year with a tattoo with the directions to Neverland on her arm.” She stopped. “That is too funny, I have the directions to Neverland tattooed on my back”.

It is amazing to me that my specialty draws such awesome perfect couples my way. So much in fact that I had two brides in one year with essentially the same tattoo.

So back to the Broncos. I have been and always will be a huge Broncos fan. That too goes back to my Grandfather who had season tickets since the Broncos were born as a franchise. He used to take me on occasion and almost always for my Birthday. I deemed it appropriate that this week the Broncos take on the San Diego Chargers in the playoffs and I should be blogging this. Paige surprised Chaz with a ceremony at Sports Authority Field. That was her present to him. (That blog coming soon). What a cool gift for her groom!!!

I hope you enjoy these guys as much as I did. 🙂 …oh and Go Broncos!!!!
