Red Rocks is one of those quintessential places in Colorado. Growing up in Colorado I have been to Red Rocks so many times I can no longer count but for people who have never been, it is definitely something that should be on everyone’s bucket list. Megan and Evan are from Baltimore. Megan is a social media manager and Evan is a commercial photographer. The first time they visited Colorado they absolutely fell in love with it and knew they wanted to have their wedding here. They definitely picked some quintessential places to do portraits and spend their time with their guests.
The brand new Maven Hotel in the Dairy Block in Lodo in Denver is a fun, artsy and quirky new hotel within walking distance of the ballpark and I really felt it complimented Megan and Even’s laid back personality. We then ventured to Red Rocks for their ceremony. Being early May we couldn’t have asked for a better day. Sunny, with rolling clouds keeping it the perfect temperature.
Everything was on schedule and well thought out. Some of my favorite moments from the day include Megan and Evan taking a selfie at their reception, portraits at Red Rocks, the travel theme throughout their event and running down to a very busy Larimer Square. Being that Megan is in the Social Media world for her work they thought it would be fun to do a selfie with everyone so they had the officiant take one at the beginning of the ceremony. I starting this out by saying that Red Rocks is one of the most quintessential places in Colorado. It definitely didn’t disappoint. And it was on their non-negotiable list to go to Larimer Square for sunset. All of these things combined with some amazingness from the Dairy Block made a perfect day with pretty fabulous people.
I really appreciated watching the interaction between Evan and Megan all day. Their kindness and easy going nature only applied with their interactions with each other and I could not have asked for a sweeter couple and families to work with. Megan and Evan say they have fallen so in love with Colorado that they would love to move here one day! I hope so because Colorado can always use awesome people like them! Megan and Evan, thank you for sharing your day with us. We really appreciated the opportunity to watch and capture your love story and wish you both the very best on your adventures together in the future.
XO,
Sarah
