What is your specialty and why do you love it?
Bluebird specializes in conceptualizing, curating/designing and producing destination mountain events. We produce events that combine timeless design with exceptional quality. We strive to practice environmentally friendly approaches whenever possible. Lastly, we curate the vendor team for each event to reflect and relay the client’s vision and our design for their day. Our services are truly bespoke.
What are three things you are known for?
With Something Blue by Bluebird, we are now able to offer our services for smaller budget weddings or for those who do not need as thorough of services. We guide our clients through the planning process, but allow them to take responsibility for making decisions. We offer a light but thorough touch during the planning process but, on the day-of the wedding, we’ll take care of the details with the attention Bluebird has become known for, so the couple and their nearest and dearest can enjoy their day. Something Blue by Bluebird works on weddings throughout the state of Colorado.
What is your favorite part about a wedding (Could be the process before or the actual wedding)?
We love creating experiences that are momentous and memorable occasions for our clients.
We love that wedding planning is the perfect mix of using our right and left brains together: the creativity, organization and the ability to think outside the box while and execute a direct plan.
We love that we get to see the culmination of months of planning and all of the beauty in action!
We love when all the elements come together perfectly, and the client is thrilled.
How did you get into the wedding business?
My degree from UVA was in Art History & Psychology – not typical for event planningJ After moving to Colorado and falling in love with Aspen, I fell into a job in the events department at the Little Nell. It was a phenomenal way to kickstart my love of special events. I don’t like to be limited to one location though so quickly realized that my time at the Nell would be phenomenal training to springboard a career in this industry. I love being able to get my fingers into every element of each event – not just the food and beverage and venue related details.
What is your passion outside of your work?
