Leah & Steve | Lions Square Lodge, Vail Wedding

Leah & Steve quickly became some of my favorite people. What can I say about a couple who cracks open a beer on the gondola ride up the mountain, then doesn’t even bat an eye when you suggest getting into the river for pictures on their wedding day?! Leah & her friends spent the morning doing yoga and and were still in their yoga gear when I came to her room. All fun and no formality for this crew! After a quick run up Vail mountain to get a few pics with the view, they invited their friends and family to stand on the lawn below them while they exchanged their vows at Lion’s Square Lodge. Then, it was time to party! After dinner, the sunset caught my attention, so we ran away for some time to soak up the last rays of the day. When I first met Leah & Steve, they talked about getting married standing the the creek. Logistically, the plan changed over time, but I knew I wanted to capture a bit of their original idea. I love that when I suggested it, they just simply said ok! Our feet were very cold and numb only moments later. I’m sure seeing the three of us out there was quite a sight! But we had a blast, and it will be one of my favorite moments of the summer. Thanks for trusting me, guys! And here’s to a lifetime of good beer and adventures.
