Keystone Ranch Spring Wedding | Leah and Matthew

In his welcome toast, Matthew said, “When you spend close to 1/10th of your life planning your wedding, it had better be good.” I’ll go on record saying that Leah and Matthew’s wedding was more than good… it was amazing! Just wait until you see these photos. Leah and Matthew both looked fantastic. The decor was stunning. The dance floor was full of energy all night long. And for the icing on the cake, this Colorado mountain wedding, on the last day of winter no less, had better weather than anyone had hoped for! Oh, and the actual icing on the cake was like no cake I’ve ever seen.
Let’s back up a bit. Why had Leah and Matthew been planning their wedding for so long? They had originally scheduled their wedding in March of 2021, but COVID forced them to reschedule to March of 2022. The planning process had started long before that and we actually did their engagement photos in the summer of 2020. As a photographer, it’s unusual to go so long between an engagement session and wedding, but Leah and Matthew are the type of people you automatically feel comfortable with and on their wedding day we picked up right where we left off a year and a half before.
I am so happy that this wedding finally took place and I was able to photograph it. Leah and Matthew were truly a pleasure to work with and were definitely worth the wait. This was my first full wedding of 2022 and I can’t imagine a better way to kick off this wedding season.
