Some days, it just rains on your plans. There’s nothing that can be done. You hope, you pray, you envision it a certain way, but nature is a force to be reckoned with. Such was the case for Elyse & TR. From the first moment we talked about their day and what they had planned for their wedding, they wanted to be hillside at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, with the view behind them. Well mother nature had other plans. I’m so proud of Elyse for not letting it ruin her day and going with the flow. We had waited it out and after awhile with guests waiting, we just had to make the call to pull it inside. Now if there’s anywhere you’d want to be to have your ceremony inside, it’s at the beautiful Spruce Mountain Ranch. I mean, their rooms are stunning and with a great planner like Stephanie, you’d have never known it wasn’t the plan from the start. And of course, once they exited the ceremony, the rain had stopped! We were able to take the bride and groom up to their hillside ceremony spot and get beautiful pictures with the view, and the rain stopped and started all day long. But if rain is good luck on your wedding day, these two will be the luckiest around. 😉

The moral of the story is… don’t let rain get you down on your wedding day. I know it wasn’t what these two had planned, but their day turned out to be magical, beautiful, and all their own. And in the end, it was about the joining of two best friends. Which couldn’t have been more obvious from their love and excitement.
