Elise + Ryan | Kenosha Pass Colorado Fall Engagement

Fall is entirely too short lived in Colorado. Especially in the mountains. Hitting it at the right time is kind of imperative. Sometimes as a photographer you can kind of fake it and make things look a bit more yellow than they are, but you can’t fake this. We hit this session at absolutely the perfect time. A few tips on if you want to capture the fall aspens. Pick a weekday. I know most people have to get out of work but it is totally worth not fighting other people in your photos. Trust your photographer. A professional photographer will know where and when the leaves are changing. We map it out and try to gauge where the best leaves are pretty much all fall. If they suggest a place it is probably the best one. Be prepared to drive for the best ones.

This is seriously one of my all time favorite sessions. It was quite the adventurous day. haha. Elise and Ryan rode up in my car and I got pulled over and got out of a ticket (oops). We got amazing color and light. And we saw a whole moose family. Photos below….because how fun is it to see a moose in Colorado let alone a family. We always try to take our clients to dinner after our sessions because we really believe it should be a hug instead of a handshake when we show up on your wedding day. Such a great day with these two awesome people. I feel like in the short time I know my clients that I get to know them pretty well. I love hanging out with these two. Their joy is infectious and their graciousness abounds. I am lucky that somehow these amazing people find me and work with me.  I am little late in blogging this session and have already shot their wedding but oh my goodness wait until you see their wedding. It was equally stunning.   I cannot wait to see where these two go with their lives. Thank you Elise and Ryan for sharing your day and your lives with me. 🙂
