Darci & Erik | Colterris Winery Palisade Colorado Elopement

There is something so special about Palisade. I don’t know if it is the back country feel or the satisfying symmetrical lines of all the trees and vines, but it is soothing and stunning. I was a little worried because it was off season and all the leaves had fallen and taken their turn that we might have missed the pretty part of Palisade, but I was so wrong. There was something absolutely stunning about the bare trees and fall colors. It was gorgeous outside for a fall day in November. Darci is tiny and was a bit chilly once the sun set a bit but for the most part we had a stunning day. You may recognize Chelsy as she is one of my photographers on my team and Darci is her sister. I love that my other photographers trust me so much that they choose me to help their families. Don’t be fooled I am just as lucky as my partner photographers have taken photos of my family too haha. I loved how simple and intimate they wanted everything. The wedding definitely was not a show for them. It was about one thing. Getting married. They knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together and that was that. When I photograph elopements I don’t usually have the opportunity to get to know my clients as well as a full wedding production but it is funny I know plenty about them by the choices they make and the people they choose to be there on their day. Make no mistake Darci and Erik were surrounded by the best people. You could tell just in the short amount of time I spent with them that family was so important to them. Darci and Erik, I loved spending a few hours with you on your wedding day. I love the way Darci lights up when you look at her Erik and I can’t wait to see what your future adventures together hold.
