One of my favorite things is when I get to photograph other siblings and family members from a past wedding. Colleen was a sister to a bride I had a few years back at The Four Seasons in Vail. Her sister Erin called me prior to Troy even purposing to Colleen and asked what my availability for the fall would be as she knew her sister and her sister would want a fall wedding. There is something about being asked if you are available before anything actually happens that is so humbling. There is a level of trust already when someone has already seen the experience you provide at a wedding and the final product.
Troy has two children from a previous marriage and they were very much a part of their day. This wasn’t two people coming together, it was a family that was being built, the two kids and of course their cute pup Winston included. We did an engagement session as well as family photos before the wedding and all were included in their engagement guest book. Taking place at the stunning Denver Botanic Gardens and an amazing team of wedding pros there was really no way this day could go wrong. It was filled with so many great moments surrounding family and stunning wedding details with bright flowers and blush tones as well as a bride and groom who are absolutely smitten with each other. Their connection to not only each other but the two kids and all their family was so inspiring. I loved that all the family members and close family friends already knew me and it felt like old friends. In the end that is how I want all my clients to feel when I leave their wedding. Like old friends. Like they’ve made a lifelong friend and not just a photographer at the end of the day.
Colleen and Troy you two are amazing and I know you will move mountains together! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day and thanks to Erin for initially allowing me into your sweet family. Every time I am around them and you all I am humbled by your love for each other. I wish you all the very best on your journey.

Sarah
