Catelyn & Sean | Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa Winter Wedding

Catelyn is one of those people who just exudes joy.  Easy going, loving, kind. When she told me about her winter wedding in Beaver Creek and how she wanted to do her ceremony outside snow or shine I knew she was my kind of bride. Catelyn and Sean are currently living in Michigan, but Catelyn grew up in Colorado. A true carefree Colorado girl. She wanted a desination that all her guests could enjoy and the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek delivered. Some of her guests skied the morning of her wedding while others enjoyed relazing in the spa or shopping. Truly a Colorado experience for all her guests.

We rode up the short gondola just outside of the Park Hyatt for our first look and we got the snowy mountain top photos that Catelyn and Sean wanted, followed by family and bridal party photos in the village and their ceremony on the patio.

One thing that I know about these people is how incredibly loving and compassionate they are. Catelyn works as a doula and you tell her love of life really fuels her passion for it. If you were to look at their interaction with any of their guests and family you could easily see that connection to these people they hold dear is what is most important to them second only to the connection they have with each other. Sean treats her like the independant woman she is all while being amazing and thoughtful. They compliment each other so well. I try to take away something from every wedding I photograph. I think what I took away more than anything was their passion for being compassionate and giving. My clients make me a better person and these two inspire me for sure. As we approach their one year anniversary I can’t help but to celebrate with them. They are the sweetest people and desrve the very best on their adventures ahead.
