Brian & Jamie | Parkside Mansion Denver

Imagine that you are planning the weddings of your dreams when your fiancé who is in the military gets new orders. You will no longer be able to plan the event that you had intended. You elope (sort of) so you are legally married. This doesn’t change your love for each other or your commitment to your marriage, you just don’t get to wear your fancy white dress and have those wedding photos that you dreamed about. Enter one amazing family and a team of romantic to their core wedding pros and you wake up on the morning planning to not do much and your family has planned a surprise wedding for you while you are home for Christmas. This is exactly what happened to Brian and Jamie. Jamie’s sisters started contacting local wedding pros to see if they would help throw a surprise wedding for an awesome military couple. Being that I have a bleeding heart for anyone military and the sacrifice they make I was all in when Lauren from Quintessential Events contacted me. Many vendors when they heard the story pitched in to make this day amazing and it spiraled from there. Jamie woke up and was told that she was getting married today! She was presented with several dresses from BHLDN. She tried them on picked one. They all went to Parkside Mansion to get ready where the hair and makeup artist were waiting for her. After getting into her dress, it was time to meet her groom in a chilly first look outside the mansion. They were so excited to see one another (they hadn’t talked to each other since they were surprised that morning). They were smitten with each other, beaming from ear to ear. The rest of the day was similar to any other wedding day except I can’t explain the vibe, the joy. Wedding days are usually filled with love, joy, excitement, but this one was a little different. Everyone there had contributed in making this day happen for these two people that were obviously so loved, including the vendors. Truly an honor to be part of this amazing day and this amazing family of people. Brian and Jamie were the most gracious of anyone. So thankful for everyone there.  Although it wasn’t where they wanted it to be originally it was still the wedding they had dreamed about surrounded by their family and friends. A beautiful snowy winter wedding. Thank you Brian and Jamie for sharing in your amazing day.
