Colorado the perfect place for a wedding that’s full of romance, whether you are up in the Rockies or on the Front Range, mountain vistas, aspen groves, luxe log cabins and fields of wildflowers abound. I have traveled so many places and experienced the service and amazing views these venues have to offer. I love working with couples who choose their location as part of their story. It is a part of who they are and where they want to celebrate their marriage to the love of their life. Here are 13 of my favorite romantic mountain wedding venues in Colorado, ideal for any couple looking to start their love story in the mountains – listed in no particular order.
Devil’s Thumb Ranch is the epitome of a Colorado getaway. Rustling pines, cozy leather armchairs, roaring fireplaces, sprawling meadows full of wildflowers — it’s just the place for a wedding retreat. Whether you’re planning a ceremony beneath the aspens or a black tie bash, the ranch has something for everyone. Add in amazing service, views of the Continental Divide, a reconstructed Civil War-era barn, and an award-winning chef, rustic cabins and rooms for youand you’ve got the recipe for a celebration that will transport you to another place and time.
Nestled in the White River National Forest, at the base of Larkspur Bowl, is this perfectly appointed cabin, recognized for its spectacular cuisine and incredible wine list. A wraparound deck and open lawn invite you and your guests to dance all night under the stars, or cozy up to the stone hearth as you gaze upon the snow-capped peaks of Grouse Mountain. Beano’s is just the place for a couple in search of a luxurious log cabin wedding.
A restored 1930s ranch homestead, now known more for its fine dining than its Wild West past, Keystone Ranch can welcome you and your guests year-round. In the summer, exchange vows overlooking the Keystone Ranch Golf Course and Swan Mountain. In the winter, continue the homestead’s romantic tradition as you gather in front of the floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, a wedding present from the original owner to his daughter.
Tucked away in the National Forest, TenMile Station captures the romantic past of the Old West, as well as the breathtaking natural beauty of Breckenridge Mountain. This venue provides the charm of downtown Breckenridge, as well as the seclusion of its location, on top of Peak 9. A rustic vibe combines with incredible service to usher you into married life without a care in the world.
If your tastes run more mountain-contemporary, look no further than Sevens. Floor-to-ceiling windows (and an expansive deck ideal for ceremonies and cocktails) offer dramatic views of the Ten Mile Range and the Continental Divide, while the venue’s more modern design is perfect for a formal affair.
For a more intimate experience, head to Allie’s Cabin, tucked into an aspen grove at the base of Beaver Creek. Eclectic 19th century furnishings and a locally inspired menu will transport you back to the era when the cabin’s namesake, Allie Townsend, lived. Sip cocktails on the deck in the summer, or watch winter snow fall from around the fireplace after a sleigh ride to dinner.
Spruce Mountain Ranch is all about rustic elegance, from a manicured lawn with a cottonwood tree perfectly situated to shade your ceremony to a lakefront terrace ready for dancing under the stars. Nearby, an elegant lodge was designed with weddings in mind, allowing guests to experience a true Colorado celebration both indoors and out. With two event spaces and tons of acreage to spread out, there is something for everyone here.

This boutique hotel is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding that doesn’t sacrifice on splendor. Whether you stay in town and celebrate at one of hotel’s restaurants or salons, or board the gondola to say “I do” at 11,000 feet on the Aspen Wedding Deck followed by dinner and dancing in the Sundeck or the Aspen Mountain Club, The Little Nell aims to create celebrations that touch the soul. Start your wedding off with jaw-dropping views, then end the night nestled into one of The Little Nell’s suites, a “mountain retreat” take on the honeymoon suite.
Aspen has a reputation for luxury, and the St. Regis is no exception. This contemporary venue seamlessly combines a mountain atmosphere with unbeatable service and amenities. From the courtyard that resembles a fairytale with stunning views of Aspen Mountain to a ballroom just waiting to be transformed for your celebration, the St. Regis will create a bespoke event that surrounds you and your guests in romance and love.
If your goal is to be completely relaxed as you walk down the aisle, Mt. Princeton Hot Springs may be the venue for you. Pools fed by natural hot springs reach temperatures from 95 to 105 degrees fahrenheit, the perfect way to unwind as your wedding weekend begins. The Pavilion, with walls of windows on three sides, has gorgeous mountain views and opens up to a manicured lawn, where you can enjoy a ceremony and cocktails al fresco as the sun sets.
With 300 acres situated just below the Continental Divide, Strawberry Creek Ranch provides a perfectly rustic location for Colorado weddings. Spend the morning getting ready in the bride’s cabin and groom’s quarters, then welcome guests for dinner and dancing in a century-old barn, and dance under the stars. Watch the sun set over the Rabbit Ears Range.

Celebrate your wedding surrounded by the romance of Colorado’s history. A restored ghost town with European flair, Dunton Hot Springs combines hand-restored cabins and horseback rides with holistic spa treatments and a local, organic menu. Gather everyone you love at the Saloon for cocktails, then dance the night away in the Dance Hall, surrounded by 14,000 foot peaks. From the aspen groves and bubbling creek to the hot springs and the open-air chapel, you’ll have this remote mountain town all to yourselves.
It all starts with a breathtaking gondola ride, transporting you from the quaint River Run Village to a mountain lodge at the top of North Peak. A sprawling deck is the perfect place for a ceremony, with the Gore and Ten Mile Ranges in the background, while the lodge’s cathedral ceilings and roaring fireplace provide a cozy setting for a reception that feels cozy, even with up to 350 guests in attendance. There’s nothing more intimate than being the only ones for miles as you celebrate the beginning of forever together.
These are only a small fraction of my favorites. I would love to chat with you about your wedding at any of the locations or anywhere the romantic Colorado mountains take you!
XO,
Sarah
