Sarel & Pepe | Allie’s Cabin Beaver Creek Wedding

I’ve probably mentioned this about a thousand times before but I stinking love winter weddings. I think some of it is the stunning mountain views and soft pallet but I think it’s mostly because of the kind of people winter weddings attract. You have to be the kind of person who goes with the flow and knows anything could happen in the winter. There are a few disadvantages to a winter getaway for you, your future spouse, and your closest friends and family but I can only count a few. They are far outweighed by the beauty and magic of it all.

Sarel and Pepe are from Puerto Rico so we kept teasing them that they would freeze but Beaver Creek was the perfect setting for them. We started the day getting ready and then moved to The Beaver Creek Chapel for an intimate ceremony. Their guests had a little break while we did their family and bride and groom portraits. We met back up with their family and guests and took a sleigh ride up to Allie’s Cabin (you read that right, Allie’s cabin sits mid mountain on Beaver Creek and the only way to get there is a sleigh ride pulled by a snow cat). Allie’s Cabin is such a sweet cozy setting in any season but especially in the winter.

Sarel and Pepe aren’t showy people, both fairly quiet and reserved and subtle in their affection but it was always apparent. They were the epitome of grace and kindness not only with each other, but with their family, and with me. Such humble and amazing people who spent the day caring for each other and everyone around them. I would shoot weddings like theirs every day of my life if I could. Thank you Sarel and Pepe for allowing me to be a part of your day and your adventure.
