Jenn & Aaron’s Peaceful Valley Ranch Wedding

I love falling in love. It is quite possibly the best thing in the world. I totally believe that it is possible to fall in love every day, in fact I believe that is what has helped keep my own marriage alive year after year. I love to watch my couples love and adoration for each other. When I met Jenn she told me what was most important to her is that she was planning a marriage and not just a wedding. I think that is a hard thing to remember when the stress and excitement of planning your dream day is right in front of you. I can’t even count how many times my grooms cry at ceremonies when they see their bride, they are so overwhelmed by their soon to be bride. You will often find me struggling to wipe away a tear or two during a ceremony.

Jenn and Aaron are an amazing couple. So in love and so respectful of each other. Their story started on a mercy ship where they met. The ship is essentially a floating hospital that provides free reconstructive surgery to local patients with problems like cleft lips, club feet, facial tumors, etc. Both Jenn and Aaron were working on the ship (Jenn is a pediatric nurse and Aaron was a senior accountant). What started out as a friendship quickly grew for an amazing love and adoration for each other. Jenn said “it was kind of random how I got hooked up with Mercy Ships….I sort of applied on a whim….but it ended up being a great fit. ” It was easy for me to “get on board” (literally )”, who knew she would meet her now best friend and husband.  When their time on the ship was over Jenn (who is from Canada) went home and Aaron who is from Nebraska also went home. It would a long while before they would be together forever, after months and months of waiting Jenn finally got her fiancé visa and joined Aaron just a short time before they were married in January.

Their wedding was at the beautiful Peaceful Valley Ranch in Lyons Colorado.  Simple, elegant, and beautiful, it was apparent this couples focus was on each other and building their lives together. I wish them the very best in their adventure together! I had a great time getting to know these two and secretly hope that they move to Colorado one day! 😉 Congratulations Aaron & Jenn!
